Melbourne, Nov. 14 (PTI): Australian academics are worried over reports of students outsourcing homework at low costs in India, Pakistan and Egypt.

At as cheap as $2, high school and university students in Australia have found ways to outsource homework projects. A 23-year-old Pakistani has told the Sunday Herald that he was working for students in Australia, the US and the UK.

Jinnah house

Mumbai (PTI): The Centre has told Bombay High Court that it has gained legal ownership of the historic Jinnah House. The house was mired in controversy after heirs of Mohammed Ali Jinnah staked claim to the property.

Sharad Pawar

Mumbai (PTI): NCP chief Sharad Pawar was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai on Sunday for a blood pressure-related check-up. “He is stable and there is no cause for concern,” an aide of the minister said. Pawar, 69, will be discharged in a few days, he added.

Bribe case

Moscow (PTI): An Indian has been detained at Saratov in Russia for allegedly paying a bribe of $3, 251 to a immigration employee to accelerate citizenship formalities. The employee turned down the bribe and the Indian was detained.

AIDS on rise

Bhopal (PTI): HIV cases are on the rise in Madhya Pradesh, with 3, 415 people testing positive till September 2010, as compared to 2, 119 cases in 2006. Indore is leading in the state with more than 660 people testing positive, according to the Madhya Pradesh State AIDS Control Society.

LC Jain dead

New Delhi (PTI): Gandhian and Magsaysay award winner L.C. Jain passed away on Sunday following prolonged illness. He was 85. Jain spent more than six decades of his life as a crusader against corruption. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
