Anindya Sarkar called Staur ?a revealing telefilm?. He wasn?t meaning the costume of the pretty and dusky Rimjhim Gupta or of the athletic, Shiamak Davar-trained Lopamudra Das. His telefilm is about a US-returned, extremely independent Rimjhim who gives the wrong vibes to lonely photographer Amitabh Bhattacharjee at first, but a mutual attraction follows and they live in after making an agreement with terms and conditions. ?There is realisation later that life is not just an agreement,? said Anindya, ?it is a manifestation that unfolds itself in steps, in layers.?
Rimjhim and Lopamudra nevertheless went in for a change of costume and covered up with a few more layers of manifestation ? and fabric. While Amitabh gave some shots manifesting his intense emotions to Moumita Gupta who plays mother to her real-life daughter Rimjhim in Staur.
