New Delhi, April 29: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has dared the Narendra Modi government to arrest Congress chief Sonia Gandhi over the AgustaWestland chopper deal allegations.
"I dare BJP to arrest Soniaji and those Congress leaders named in Italy court order and interrogate them. BJP will never do it. Their character is bad. Just watch, for five years they will just make statements. The relationship between Congress and BJP is deep," Kejriwal tweeted.
"Modiji conducted CBI raid on me, but not on Soniaji and (her son-in-law Robert) Vadraji. Modiji finds Gandhi family honest. Modiji would have arrested me by now had my name figured in the Italian court order. But (they are) not even probing Soniaji. Why? Amit Shahji is asking Soniaji with folded hands, 'please tell who took bribes'. Is this how probe is conducted? Dissolve CBI and Anti Corruption Branch then," Kejriwal added.
The AAP has written to Modi to act within a week and the party's political affairs committee is currently in talks to decide the future course of action.
AAP spokesperson Ashutosh said: "We have seen that Narendra Modi is ruthless in taking down the Opposition. Our MLAs and officers have seen how police, the ACB and the CBI are unleashed on us just (so that) Modi can settle political scores. Why then is this terror not unleashed on Sonia Gandhi?"
