Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attending the 75th Independence Day function at the Khanapara Veterinary College Playground on Sunday. Sarma on Sunday issued 10 appeals to the public to make the state a better place besides reiterating his plea to the proscribed United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent)  to come forward for talks. The 10 appeals include spending time with parents. Government employees to get seven days’ leave to be with their parents, Sarma said
