Video clips of the celebratory firing that is banned in the state went viral and police registered an FIR under the Arms Act and the Loudspeaker Act on Friday against Pandey, his son Vishal Kumar and an unidentified person.

“We are investigating the case and will move to arrest the people involved. Celebratory firing is unlawful and has lead to several deaths in the state,” Rohtas superintendent of police Ashish Bharti said.
