A fire broke out in Metro Hospitals and Heart Institute in Noida on Thursday, trapping several people inside the multi-storeyed building.
There were no immediate reports of casualties, officials said.
Thick smoke could be seen coming out of the building in Sector 12. People were standing on ledges in balconies as rescuers tried to reach them by breaking window panes.
The staff tried to help patients out of the building as fire tenders rushed to the spot.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
