Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday said the CBI had “reached” his office again.

“Today again CBI has reached my office. They are welcome. Earlier they had raided my house and office, searched my locker and even conducted an investigation in my village. Nothing has been found against me and nothing will be found because I have not done anything wrong,” Sisodia tweeted.

Sources in the CBI said it was not a raid. They said a team had visited Sisodia’s office on Saturday to collect certain documents related to an ongoing probe into alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Delhi government’s now-scrapped excise policy.

The CBI had last August visited Sisodia’s office and home multiple times after receiving the go-ahead from Delhi lieutenant governor V.K. Saxena for the probe.

Sisodia, who holds the excise portfolio, is the prime accused in the case, which involves alleged kickbacks to political leaders by private players in exchange for liquor shop licences.

The CBI filed a case in a Delhi court in August against Sisodia and 14 others under various penal sections, including criminal conspiracy, and the Prevention of Corruption Act.
