BJP EXTENDS LEAD IN NDTV POLL

New Delhi, Sept. 28 :     The latest NDTV exit poll has placed the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance way ahead of its rivals. The poll covered 418 seats, where elections have been held. Most exit polls have predicted a clear lead for the NDA and a poor second for the Congress. According to the NDTV survey, the NDA will win 249 of 418 seats, which represents a gain of 35 seats. The Congress is lagging way behind with 134 seats, a loss of 27. Others will tot up only 35 seats. The only surprise is in Bihar where Laloo Prasad Yadav?s RJD and the Congress are predicted to win 18 of the 38 seats that have gone to the polls. In Uttar Pradesh, the exit poll for 54 seats forecasts 34 seats for the BJP and eight for the Congress.
