The Paris Olympics 2024 came to a glorious fitting finale with star-studded performances on the night of August 11. As one of the controversial editions of the Olympics came to an end, the focus will now shift to Los Angeles 2028.
Tom Cruise descends from the night sky
Hollywood actor Tom Cruise made an heroic entry rappelling from the roof of the Stade de France to the ‘Mission Impossible’ theme song and landed on the stage.
Cruise carried the Olympic flag as a handover to LA
The 62 year old superstar high-fived athletes while on his way to join Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and US gymnastics Gold medallist Simeone Biles. He then took over the Olympic flag in a handover to Los Angeles for the 2028 Olympic games.

He returned moments later on a motorcycle with the flag attached to it and left the stadium resembling an action movie sequence from a Hollywood movie.
The Phoenix band performs for the athletes
The athletes rushed on the stage as the Grammy winning French pop band Phoenix performed. Athletes celebrated the occasion by grooving to the music and the fun the closing ceremony offered.

The United States of America closed the Paris World Olympics in Long Beach California with a performance by Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre to celebrate the world Olympics returning to the US in 2028 at Los Angeles.
