Janhvi Kapoor’s young IFS officer gets embroiled in a dangerous political conspiracy on foreign soil in the first teaser video of Sudhanshu Saria’s upcoming thriller Ulajh.

Dropped by the makers on Wednesday, the 56-second-long teaser video opens with a voice asking Janhvi’s Suhana if she really believes that everything she has done has been for the good of her country. The voice warns her about betrayal and lies, describing them as strategic words used to ensnare people like them.

In subsequent scenes, we see Suhana capturing something on her phone, rifling through confidential documents and stealthily entering an official building. A gunshot is heard and the screen ominously fades to black.

The teaser also shows Suhana asserting that the price for betrayal is life itself. She emphasises that one must either kill or be killed to protect their nation.

The trailer hints that Suhana uses her charms to lure her adversaries. It ends with the young IFS officer seemingly stabbing someone with her hairpin.

Apart from Janhvi, Ulajh also stars Adil Hussain, Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Yash Agnihotri, Jitendra Joshi, Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang and Sachin Khedekar.

Produced by Vineet Jain and Amrita Pandey, Ulajh will hit the screens on July 5.
