A showroom on Park Street, next to M Bar Kitchen, is where Jeep is driving its SUVs out of in eastern India. This six-car space is also shared with group brands Abarth and Fiat. It is one of the few such outlets in the country, says Adarsh Tulshan, dealer principal, Celica Automobiles. And it has sold around nine SUVs in about a month or so since it opened — mostly Wranglers, but a couple of Grand Cherokees as well. But the hotseller is likely to be the upcoming Compass, which is expected to have a starting price under Rs 20 lakh. It looks like a mini Grand Cherokee and has Jeep’s offroad cred going for it.
The showroom, designed to give a look and feel similar to other Jeep outlets, also has separate spaces for a cafe, a children’s area and a lounge.
