Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone-starrer Pathaan is sweeping the box office and setting new standards. The Siddharth Anand-directed action thriller has recorded a phenomenal Rs 125 crore nett collection in the first two days at the domestic box office.

Also featuring Dimple Kapadia, Ashutosh Rana and John Abraham, Pathaan has already scripted history by becoming the first Hindi film to gross Rs 106 crore at the worldwide box office on its opening day, producer Yash Raj Films (YRF) has claimed.

As per Box Office India reports, Pathaan, which arrived in cinemas a day before Republic Day 2023, had registered opening day collections worth Rs 55 crore nett. The film raked in Rs 70 crore nett on Thursday, a major jump from Day One’s figures.

Earlier, Siddharth Anand’s War (2019) had collected Rs 50 crore nett and 2022's KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi) had done a business of Rs 52 crore nett on Day one. But even before its release, Pathaan had broken the record of KGF: Chapter 2 with more than 5.5 lakh advance bookings.

The Shah Rukh-starrer actionaer is poised to join the Rs 200-crore club at the first weekend itself, according to trade analysts.
