Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra: Part One– Shiva is the most watched film on Disney+ Hotstar in India

Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, the mythological fantasy film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna and Shah Rukh Khan

After having made its digital debut on Disney+ Hotstar on November 4, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra: Part One– Shiva has become the most-watched film on the streaming platform based on hours streamed in the first 10 days.

Produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Ayan Mukerji & Prime Focus, the film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo role.

Expressing his delight at the news of Brahmastra topping the OTT popularity chart, Ranbir said, “I am overjoyed with the performance of Brahmāstra: Part One on Disney+ Hotstar. The film was a dream project for all of us—especially for Ayan Mukerji, who worked on it for a decade. On behalf of the entire team of Brahmāstra, I would like to thank all the fans for supporting the film.”

On his part, Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji said he was excited by the response received by the movie on Disney+ Hotstar. “I thank all the viewers, our fans and supporters for tuning in and discovering the Astraverse on the streaming platform.”

The Ayan Mukerji directorial was released in the theatres on September 9 and went on to gross over Rs 400 crore.
