Party dress code

Dressing down is a growing fashion trend, say these party girls

Very rarely would you spot Rusha Roy wearing a dainty short dress and tripping on music in a nightclub. The party regular was spotted at Privy in denims, a floral sleeveless top and ballerina flats. “I do not party to grab attention. For me, it’s always comfort over style and I never like to dress up,” said the MBA student who chooses heels over and flip-flops because “they are easy to dance in all night”.

Sejal Jaiswal’s style is far from the stereotype girly fashion. “I’m hooked to the careless natural look. The handkerchief in my back pocket is deliberate — and swag! I feel dressing down is better than putting on loads of make-up and then dancing in the heat which will eventually melt your foundation,” said the budding DJ and a fan of hip hop music, spotted clubbing at Underground.

“It’s best to dress down, especially during summers in Calcutta when the humidity is so high. My style mantra is letting my skin breathe. Also, simple yet stylish outfits grab more attention,” said Fiona Wadell at Underground.

DJ duo Malika (Bolly actress Lisa Haydon’s sister, seen alongside Saif Ali Khan in the Pyaar ki pungi song) and Nina from Mumbai wowed us with their easy-breezy style. These hotties had on flip-flops and trainers behind the console at Nocturne. #CoolAndComfy
