13: The Musical

Netflix dropped the trailer for the coming-of-age musical 13: The Musical. Based on the book and Broadway musical titled 13, the movie will follow the relatable struggles of middle school student Evan Goldman (played by Eli Golden). Evan has to cope with his parents’ divorce, a shift from New York to Indiana and his upcoming Bar Mitzvah ceremony.

13: The Musical trailer promises a colourful, toe-tapping musical experience which one can compare with the High School Musical movies. The movie also features Josh Peck in a humorous cameo role as Rabbi Shapiro.

The film will start streaming on Netflix from August 12.

Drifting Home

Comicstaan Season 3

Amazon Prime Video on Thursday released a sneak peek of the upcoming Season 3 of comedy reality show Comicstaan.

In the short three-and-half-minute video, Prime Video shared exclusive glimpses from the brand new season of the show, which brings together all the popular faces of stand-up comedy under the same roof.

The new season stars familiar faces like Zakir Khan, Sumukhi Suresh, Neeti Palta, Kenny Sebastian, Rahul Subramanian, Aadar Malik, Anu Menon, Rohan Joshi, Prashasti Singh, Kanan Gill, Aakash Gupta, Kusha Kapila, Abish Mathew and Rahul Dua, along with new contestants.

Kleo

The trailer for Netflix’s Kleo, a new German-language thriller series, shows a former spy hellbent on revenge, following the fall of the Berlin wall.

“After the fall of the Berlin Wall, a woman wants revenge and answers to all her questions. But who is this woman?” Netflix captioned the trailer.

With its strain of dark comedy mixed with some fairly brutal violence, this one looks like it’ll channel some serious energy from Killing Eve’s diabolical assassin Villanelle.
