Looking back at his beginnings, Asopa entered the film industry as an actor and later evolved into a versatile individual who specialized in creating tantalizing films that have not only captured the attention of millions of people but also held in regard the quality of Asopa's creative and unique work. He is an alumnus of the University of Calcutta and the Barry John Acting Studio which has been home to some of the leading Indian Industrialists. The Academy Award winning director Satyajit Ray was an alumnus of the university as was the composer of the national song of India, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. BJAS on the other hand has produced India’s top most entertainers including Manoj Bachpai, Arjun Kapoor, Frieda pinto, Richa Chatha and Shahrukh Khan.
Asopa embarked on his journey as a filmmaker and has since then produced and directed over 6 blockbusters, award-winning films, accepted the membership of DGC (Directors Guild of Canada), and won over 100 awards from various new and established film festivals under his production banner Asopa Films Inc. Since its inception, Asopa Films Inc. has produced a number of notable film projects that have received various honors and acclaim. Aisha and Rahul, The Taste of Relationship, Zombie Beach, Chambers Gate, Depth of Pyaar, and Bloody Romeo are just a few of them. Asopa is now working on Postal Code, Sri Dungargarh Universal Greed, and an Untitled Zombies movie.
Since its debut, Asopa's picture Depth of Pyaar has earned him over 50 awards; his thrilling thriller Bloody Romeo was even given an official selection in Hollywood and was covered and highlighted by cinema menace with a 7.5/10 grade. "Zombie Beach," directed by and starring Mukesh Asopa, was widely distributed in 2014 at Carmike Theaters (now AMC) across the United States, to rave reviews from college students and zombie movie fans. Bloody Romeo, on the other hand, Asopa’s most recent work has also been announced as an Official Selection for the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema -2022, which will take place in March. The film is doing well, with over 20 awards from various film festivals.
When you consider the themes of some of these films, such as Aisha and Rahul, a romantic comedy about love, friendship, and reincarnation, and The Taste of Relation, a drama/thriller about sacrifice and a lesson for the younger generation, it's easy to see how Asopa has managed to not only create masterpieces but also to explore various approaches in order to reflect the realities of the society at large. These fantastic films, which are a culmination of Asopa's creative abilities, hard work, and vision, have undoubtedly paved a wonderful route for him, emphasizing his upcoming projects full of wonder and originality.
