My diet: I am basically a non-vegetarian. My favourite is chicken. I eat fish five times a week because I am a Mangalorean and fish is our staple diet. I probably have chicken once a week and mutton once in a blue moon. I try to avoid red meat.

The first thing I have in the morning: A glass of warm water. Later, I feel really hungry since I have not eaten any carbohydrates the previous night. I like to have a proper breakfast comprising two egg whites with a slice of bread. Quite often I have a South Indian breakfast, idli for instance. I have a cup of coffee. If I have a very early shoot, I have only a glass of vegetable juice.

My lunch: Is home food as far as possible. When I am shooting, I try and carry food from home. My lunch is two rotis, a vegetable, and a fish or a chicken dish.

My evening snack: I like to have a grilled sandwich or poha once in a while. While shooting for Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na we would binge on biscuits every half an hour and that became a joke on the sets.

My dinner: I avoid carbs but when one is shooting one has fewer options. If I am at home, I eat a tandoori chicken.

My favourite in Mangalorean food: Mom-made delicious bhangra fish, fish curry and prawns. My mom is convinced that fish is brain food. We have grown up eating a lot of fish.

I love eating: Indian food. I enjoy lot of tandoori stuff and kebabs. At home, I even eat biryanis and curries because mom makes everything in minimum oil.

My favourite deserts: I am not fond of sweets but occasionally I eat a gulab jamun or a chocolate.

While shooting, I always carry: Khakras and dry bhel.

I relish: Cheese. I am a major cheese lover. I enjoy smoked cheese and even bitter cheese.
