Rimjhim Mitra has bagged the lead in director Milan Bhowmik’s Keno Mon Take Chaye, opposite Bhowmik’s son Raaj.

“I have taken a six-month break from television to focus on my film career. In Keno Mon Take Chaye, I play a rich girl who falls for a poor boy (played by Raaj). I will also be doing Milanda’s next film,” beamed Rimjhim.

Feluda replay: Sandip Ray holds a script-reading session for the cast members of his upcoming Feluda film Gorasthane Sabdhan at his Bishop Lefroy Road house. Pradip Mukherjee, the main man of Satyajit Ray’s Jana Aranya, Sabyasachi Chakraborty and his elder son Gourab, and Subhashish Mukhopadhyay are all ears. “We will start shooting from mid-June in and around Calcutta,” said Sandip. Shaheb Bhattacharya has replaced Parambrata Chattopadhyay as Topshe and no, Gourab isn’t a part of the film. “He just accompanied his father,” clarified Sandip. Picture by Hirak Sen

Dream finale: STAR Jalsa mega serial Ekhane Akash Neel finishes its two-year run with a happy ending today at 7.30pm. On the last day on the floors, Team EAN shot the wedding of Hiya (Aparajita Ghosh Das) and Ujaan (Rrishii Kaushik). “Hiya had always dreamt of getting married in a church, so the others arrange that for her though she and Ujaan are already married. Right after the wedding, Hiya goes into labour pain.... I am going to miss all the people of Ekhane Akash Neel,” said Aparajita (seen in picture with Tota Roy Chowdhury, Rrishii and other actors), who wants to take a break before starting on another mega. “I am busy with two films, Atanu Ghosh’s Takhan Teish and Pradipto Bhattacharya’s Bakita Byaktigato.
