Tessa Thompson will star in the Men in Black spin-off, joining her Thor: Ragnarok co-star Chris Hemsworth, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Fate of the Furious director F. Gary Gray is in negotiations to helm the project. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are not expected to return in the film, which is meant to launch a new franchise with fresh talent. The original film followed Smith and Jones, who played agents of a secret organisation, known as the Men in Black, and protected Earth from intergalactic bad guys.

Actor R. Madhavan, who was supposed to star in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, is no longer a part of the project. The 47-year-old actor tweeted: “I am a huge crazy fan of Rohit Shetty and his films. As is my son. It breaks both our hearts that I’m not able to be a part of this film because of my injury. I’m well on my way to recovery but this is a huge opportunity and excitement lost.” Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan play the leads in Simmba, slated for a December 28 release.

Actor Aamir Khan has praised Rani Mukerji’s Hichki, calling it one of the “most enjoyable” films he has watched in a long time. Aamir saw the film at a special screening in Jodhpur, where he is shooting for Thugs of Hindostan. “Just saw one of the most enjoyable films in a long time. Great story, amazing performances, superb film. Thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s called Hichki. Please don’t miss it…,” he tweeted.
