Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha’s Mulk is set to arrive in theatres on July 27. The social thriller stars Rishi Kapoor, Rajat Kapur, Taapsee Pannu and Prateik Babbar. Sinha tweeted with a still of the film: “Mulk releases July 27, 2018. This is the most important film of my career till date. Keep your love coming.” Taapsee described the story as “the most relevant topic of current time”. The film revolves around a joint family from a small town in India, who are out to reclaim their honour after being embroiled in a controversy.
Director Kunal Deshmukh and actor Emraan Hashmi are teaming up on account of the 10-year anniversary of their successful Jannat franchise. The details of the plot have been kept under wraps, according to a press release. The film will be written by National Award-winner Shridhar Raghavan. The actor last worked with Deshmukh on Raja Natwarlal (2014).
Actress Jenna Dewan, who recently split from husband Channing Tatum, says she is happy with the way things are shaping up for her. Dewan, and Tatum announced their split last month. The duo said they had “lovingly chosen to separate as a couple”. “This year has just been a really incredible year in a lot of ways. A lot of change, but you go with it and you make the best with what you can,” she told People magazine.
