Amy Adams-starrer Woman in the Window is set for a 2019 release. Fox has scheduled the opening of the Joe Wright-directed thriller for an awards-season release date on October 4 next year, Variety reported. Tracy Letts (best known for writing August: Osage County) has penned the screenplay with Scott Rudin and Eli Bush producing the project. The film is based on AJ Finn’s bestselling novel of the same name, which debuted at No 1 on the New York Times bestseller list and remains the biggest selling adult fiction title of 2018. With over one million copies sold in the US, the novel has additionally topped the bestseller charts in multiple countries and is published in 38 languages.

The sequel to smash-hit film, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, will release on December 13, 2019. The news was shared by Dwayne Johnson, one of the stars of the revived Jumanji franchise, on his Instagram account. “Officially planting our Jumanji flag. On December 13th, 2019 — the game is not over. I hold Jumanji very close to my heart and I’m beyond grateful you made our movie into the global juggernaut (USD 1 billion plus) it became. Can’t wait for you to see what our new adventure and new characters have in store as Christmas comes early. And once again, I get to slap Kevin Hart’s lips into next week. The world is happy. #FearTheDrums #TheGameIsNotOver #Jumanji December 13th, 2019,” Johnson wrote. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, a sequel to Robin Williams’ 1995 Jumanji, was released in December last year and raked in USD 960 million at the global office. Apart from Johnson, the Jake Kasdan-directed film also featured Jack Black, Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, and Bobby Cannavale.

Paul Sparks is the latest actor to come aboard the cast of untitled Ford vs Ferrari film. The film, based on AJ Baime’s book Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari, and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans and to be directed by Logan helmer James Mangold, will feature Matt Damon and Christian Bale in the lead. Sparks, who is best known for starring in Netflix’s House of Cards, will portray the role of Leo Beebe, Henry Ford’s longtime public relations executive, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie is about the feud between Ford and Ferrari as they both competed to win Le Mans World Championship in France in 1966. Damon will portray automotive visionary Carroll Shelby while Bale is playing British driver Ken Miles. The project will be produced by Chernin Entertainment.

Glow actree Alison Brie believes she has been unfairly tagged as a “comedy actress” and says there is a lot more to her. The 35-year-old actor says though she loves the comedy genre, a lot of her potential is still “untapped”. “If you need a headline, (this) would be the headline of my life: ‘There’s a Lot More Going on Than People Think.’ The biggest misconception across the board is that I’m a comedy actress, and it drives me crazy. “Which is weird because I don't want to begrudge that title in a way that implies I hate the genre. I don’t. I love it! But, to me, there’s more to me. There’s untapped resources you guys don’t even know about,” Brie told Fashion magazine. The actor, who stars the fictionalised retelling of the making of the ’80s show Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW), says she decided to play Ruth Wilder as she felt a connection with the role.
