What to expect: All things natural and desi, from textiles to fabrics, apparels, accessories and jewellery. Artists and brands from all over the country will showcase their products in the three-day exhibition. Govardhan Panika from Kotpad, Desi Soul from Bangalore, LoaferJama from Gurgaon, block prints from Jodhpur, Srinath Fabrics from Nalgonda, Irfan Khatri from Bhuj and Devieche are just some of the brands among the 56 stalls exhibiting their products.
Organiser speak: “The cause behind the exhibition is to promote the dying textiles and fabrics of India that are beautiful and natural. Pause for a Cause brings the best of Indian textiles and handlooms to Calcutta, under one roof,” said Ritu Agarwal, branch manager, Secure Giving in aid of Concern India Foundation.

When: September 2, 7pm onwards
What to expect: A night of revelry, fun and dancing down memory lane. The annual event, organised by Loreto Convent Darjeeling Alumni Association, is taking place at the Wood Street club for the first time. Singer Kamran Khurshid will keep the crowd entertained with old and new numbers. Dinner promises yum bites such as Fish Begum Bahar, Murgh Tikka Makhni, Navratan Korma and Fish Amritsari.

Organiser speak: “This year we decided to have the event at The Saturday Club. We have a great menu along with drinks and Kamran singing. It promises to be a wonderful evening with old friends and shared memories,” said Enakhi Singh Anand.
