What: Calcutta Polo Season 2016

Where: Army Training and Polo Grounds, Royal Calcutta Turf Club

When: December 18 to 25, 2.30pm onwards

What to expect: The game of kings is back in the city. Organised by the Fort William Riding and Polo Club, the season will see at least six teams from the armed forces play three tournaments. The Fort William Challenge Cup finals will be played on December 20, after prelims on December 18 and 19; the Rising Sun Polo Cup finals will be played on December 23, after prelims on December 21 and 22; and the Army Commander’s Cup will be played on December 25, after prelims on December 24. Christmas Day will also see an exhibition match at 2pm, which is a signature match of the Calcutta Polo Season.
