Butt seriously!

Jeans that show off one’s bare (or otherwise) butt. A few days ago, the French fashion brand shared a sneak peek by way of an Instagram post, which shows zippers running down the back of the leg as well as one on the back-centre seam, which if left unzipped, shows off the booty.

The world didn’t see this coming, just like spaghetti doughnuts, which, by the way, took over New York last month and most reports called it “yikes”. Bare Butt Jeans (which some call the high-rise ass-rip jeans) are here, thanks to a collaboration between Vetements and Levi’s. The cheekiest denim trend of the year lives up to its name: Jeans that show off one’s bare (or otherwise) butt. A few days ago, the French fashion brand shared a sneak peek by way of an Instagram post, which shows zippers running down the back of the leg as well as one on the back-centre seam, which if left unzipped, shows off the booty.

This cheeky trend is not to be confused with the one that’s popular with Kylie Jenner or Ariel Winter. Their ripped-butt jeans are not as over the top as the one from Vetements. Its description on the fashion portal mytheresa.com (which ships to India) reads: “Vetements put an ultimately cool spin on high-waisted jeans with this design, crafted from dark blue washed denim and finished with zipped details at the front. The loose-fitting pair comes with deconstructed elements and asymmetric hems. Show yours off with a basic white tee.” Of course, it forgets to mention the zips down the back.

The butt-is-the-new-cleavage denim has just gone on sale internationally and it costs $1,870. Butt seriously?!
