Kangana Ranaut, who turns 36 today, is all-hands-on-deck when it comes to her new projects and never shies away from sharing behind-the-scenes moments from the sets of upcoming films like Emergency and Chandramukhi 2.
During the filming of Chandramukhi 2, Kangana played Holi with all the crew members on the sets of the P Vasu directorial. The Tamil-language film is a sequel to the horror comedy Chandramukhi, starring Rajinikanth and Jyothika.
Kangana was also given a grand sendoff party after she finished her portions for Chandramukhi 2. Sharing a picture from her last day on the sets, the actress reminisced about the film and posed for a photo with Raghava Lawrence. “I am so inspired by sir who is popularly known as Lawrence master because he started his career as a choreographer actually as a back dancer but today he is not only a blockbuster filmmaker/superstar but also an incredibly lively, kind and wonderful human being,” she wrote.
One of Kangana’s most-anticipated projects, Emergency, doesn’t just star her as the lead actress. The film, based on the 1977 Emergency in India, is also directed, produced and ideated by her.
Kangana, who plays former Indian prime minister Indira Gandhi in Emergency, shared behind-the-scenes moments from the sets of the film.
Kangana also revealed several things that had happened during the shooting of Emergency. “From mortgaging all my properties, every single thing that I owned to being diagnosed with dengue during the first schedule and having to film it in spite of alarmingly low blood cell counts, my character as an individual has been severely tested,” she wrote.
Kangana celebrated the wrap up of Emergency in a grand celebration with all cast and crew members. The actress wore a stunning black off-shoulder jumpsuit with a baby pink satin bow to go with it. Nude heels, pearl earrings and slicked back hair completed the look.
