Worried about the city’s temperature touching 40? Sweat not. Shut the sun out at the Summer Carnival in Snow Park, Axis Mall, being held in association with t2. Climb the icy wall, dance on snow, take a snow slide or have some snowy fun with popular cartoon characters, in minus 6 degrees Celsius!
On till June 15, 11am to 8.30pm daily, the carnival will have different toon heroes — think Doraemon, Little Krishna and Spider-Man — dropping by on weekends to double the fun. t2 dropped by on a late May afternoon and found little ones having the time of their life with best friends Motu and Patlu from Furfuri Nagar.
Cousins Harsh Khushalani and Suhani Mulani stopped for a click on the sleigh at the park’s entrance. “This was their first experience at Snow Park and they enjoyed themselves to the fullest. In fact, that one hour seemed like a boon on a hot, humid day,” said Harsh’s father Sunny Khushalani.
What plans did siblings Shradha and Anurag Badiyani have once they enter the fun zone? “I am going to hit him with snow!” said Shradha, a Class VIII student of Our Lady Queen of the Missions School, Salt Lake. Before entering the main area, the duo stopped by a model snow bear, kept at the entrance, for a click.
Riddhi Sharma (in red) and Simran Sharma are cousins-cum-best friend. “I visit my cousin’s place every year, and this vacation will be very memorable for me. Snow Park was a great escape from the heat,” said Riddhi, a student of DAV Kharagpur, who is in town to spend her summer holidays with Simran.
