How did your association with Siyaram’s come about?
They wanted someone who was good-looking and smart aur jo suit mein achha dikhe. I am looking very good and smart in the shoot also (laughs). Please see the ad when it comes out. Bahut hatke ad hai. It’s a good brand also. I am happy.
Do you like wearing suits?
I like wearing suits, but I think I look better in sporty clothes like shorts and T-shirt.
Who do you think carries off a suit best?
Akshay Kumar bahut achhe lagte hain. Bahut smartly woh suit pehente hain. And Vijender Singh also (laughs).
What kind of clothes are you most comfortable in?
I am most comfortable in jeans and tee. Main hamesha inhi kapdon mein rehta hoon. Shorts bhi bahut comfortable hai.
What is the best compliment you have received for your sense of style?
Abhi abhi mujhe bahut saare compliments mile thhey jab maine suit pehena. Ladkiyon ne bahut tareef ki thi, ceetee maar rahi thi. Aise (whistles out loud)!
Whose dress sense do you admire?
Myself ji, Vijender Singh.
And apart from yourself?
Leander Paes looks nice in whatever he wears. In Bollywood, Akshay best hain. Deepika Padukone bhi bahut acchi lagti hain.
Do your looks distract people from your achievements in boxing?
Nahin, nahin. Boxing toh priority hai. There are so many good-looking men in India, but only one or two good boxers.
What kind of a shopper are you?
Oh, I love shopping! Mera bas chaley toh main roz shopping karoon. I buy a lot of clothes. I am crazy about clothes.
Are you following the IPL?
I watch off and on, not very regularly. But I am not really supporting any team.
You have just shot for a boxing reality show called The Contender…
Haan ji, maine shoot toh ki hai. Lekin uspe kuch kaam abhi bhi baaki hai. It will be telecast in the next couple of months.
And what about films?
Offers toh aate rehte hain. Sab process mein hai. Lekin ab sirf boxing pe concentrate kar raha hoon. Films baad mein kar lenge.
