“I think after all these years, I can confidently say that…Making this movie was one of the greatest joys of my life! And what we achieved with it - with all its perfections and imperfections - is a source of great eternal pride for me,” his post further read.

Besides Ranbir and Deepika, the film stars Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur in important roles. The film, which follows stories of friendship, love and dreams, earned Rs 320 crore at the box office.

The cast members also shared the video Ayan posted. Kalki wrote, “How we’ve all grown and learnt since then and yet some things I can’t imagine any different, like @deepikapadukone will always be teaching us a dance step we can’t follow, @adityaroykapur will always be our big Lebowski, Ranbir will always play a prank that makes us squeal and @ayan_mukerji will always ask us uncomfortably personal questions that lead to the best conversations 🥰😍😘 loved the memories we collected here, happy 10 years guys🎉”

Deepika shared the video on her Instagram stories and wrote, “A piece of my heart…and soul…”

“A decade of nostalgia will forever be frozen in this timeless classic ❤️,” Netflix wrote on Ayan’s post. They took to Twitter to join in on celebrating the milestone.

Dharma Productions shared behind-the-scenes stills from the film to celebrate its release anniversary. “Through the eyes of the man behind the magic,” their caption read.

Manish Malhotra, the designer for the outfits donned by the cast of YJHD, shared some of the snippets from the movie. “From the film to the songs and ofcourse to the costumes that became famous Ranbir s sharp black suit to his kurtas and sherwani to Deepika’s the Poster black saree made in 1 day and the iconic Blue saree that became the Poster saree of every party and most popular,” he wrote.

The movie won over the audience not only with its story, but also its songs, which were composed by Pritam.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was the second collaboration between Ayan and Ranbir, who are now working together on the Brahmastra film series. Their first project together was Wake Up Sid.
