Brickwood, the Italian eatery on Wood Street known for its wood-fired pizzas, now has a whole new list of additions to its menu. From salads welcoming summer to risottos and pizzas with classic Italian toppings, the new range is a riot of flavours.
“After a recent trip to Florence and Rome, I learnt about the usage of simple ingredients that can easily turn out star dishes and we have tried just that with the new menu,” said Shashank Arora, owner, Brickwood.
Oven Dried Tomato Risotto: Arborio rice and tangy tomatoes come together in this risotto. “We import our tomato paste as well as the baby tomatoes that we have roasted in the oven to lend a smoky flavour to the dish,” said Shashank. We loved the Parmesan shavings on top. You can also add chicken to it. Rs 475-plus
Candy Overload Freak Shake: Not just a looker, this one tastes yum too. Oreo chunks, milk, whipped cream, Cadbury Gems, Kit Kat, Snickers and chocolate chips come together to make this mighty shake that tastes best when shared. Rs 375-plus
Chicken Mushroom Leek Pizza: The goodness of porcini mushrooms meets chicken chunks and chopped leek on a bed of white sauce, topped with fresh mozzarella cheese. Rs 495-plus
Pizza Romana: Tomato paste imported from Italy is smeared on a pizza base, topped with fresh tomato slices, olives and capers along with golden mozzarella. Rs 475-plus
