I am a Bengali so I am blessed with great skin. I believe natural remedies are the best because they’re time tested and have been handed down generations. Since I have normal skin, I use a pack of besan (gram flour) and malai which is a cleanser. It also reduces pigmentation and prevents pimples. I massage my hair with a mix of warm almond and castor oil and use a pack of yogurt, egg white, lime, oil and a teaspoon of coffee powder once a month. This gives it great colour and also reduces dandruff. Pic by Rashbehari Das |
I am a 25-year-old male model. I have oily skin. Please tell me how to take care of my skin using natural ingredients. Apart from a regular skincare routine, could you please suggest a good weekend pack to keep my skin glowing? As you can imagine my skin is put through all kinds of torture — from make-up, to harsh lights, sun and dust.

Always sleep with a squeaky clean skin and you can use the following to reduce the oiliness — make a mask with 2 tsp Fuller’s earth, 1 tsp mint paste, 2 drops clove oil and 1 tsp margosa paste. Mix with rose water and apply all over the face and neck and let dry completely. Wash off with ice cold water.
I am a 36-year-old working woman. Could you please tell me what is the best way to get rid of stretch marks? I have them on my stomach and thighs.

Cocoa butter is excellent if massaged frequently on the skin so I would advise you to go in for firm cocoa butter massage. However, I should tell you that if the stretch marks are very old then it will be difficult to remove them completely.
