I have naturally healthy skin by the grace of god. However, there are certain things I am very particular about. I never go to a parlour for facials. During winters, I mix orange juice with mashed ripe papayas and bananas and apply this on my face. Nothing like the goodness of fruits to moisturise the skin and make it glow. I use a cleanser from The Body Shop. And at night, I use glycerine and rose water. Whenever I have to don make-up, I make sure I remove it only with coconut oil — that’s the only make-up remover I have used for the last 14 years. I do a hair spa twice a month, and keep my scalp squeaky clean to avoid hairfall. Pic by Rashbehari Das |
I am a 40-year-old man. I need to know if there is anything that can soothe bug bites. Also, is there anything to lighten marks left by insect bites?

These can be extremely painful and the best thing to do is to rub the area with white vinegar, this draws out poison. Cover with sandalwood paste two to three times a day.
I am a 28-year-old woman. I want my eyebrows thicker. Is there anyway that can happen? Or are eyebrow pencils my last resort?

Thinning of eyebrows may be genetic or hormonal. You could try applying castor oil daily at night. Take a few drops and massage into the eyebrow area gently. Done daily you will notice a difference within two weeks.
