Is there a law against noisy neighbours? The continuous muck-hurling between the mother-in-law-daughter-in-law duo next door has taken a toll on the peace and calm of the entire neighbourhood. Their tirades affect us the most since our house is the closest to theirs. Is there a way to bring them to task? Please advise.

I don’t know about the law but one way to scare the hell out of them is to say that Didi has moved into the neighbourhood and watch the poribartan that will take place in their behaviour. You could always consider setting the house to fire and hope to hell the two are there and that it is blamed on some dowry fiasco but that apart there is nothing you can do. If you are still an optimist, then call the police and wait for the next hundred years because they’ll be busy arresting cartoons...er sorry cartoonists...
I am a 24-year-old woman. I broke up with my long-term boyfriend a few months ago. While I struggled to cope with my broken heart, I happened to meet a guy through common friends and we became very good friends. Although the relationship was platonic all the way through and I was aware that he too was in a relationship, which he planned to convert into marriage, we became physically intimate in a moment of weakness. I always knew we have no future together but after the incident I am finding it very difficult to accept that we cannot be together. Once again I am standing on the threshold of a heartbreak. What must I do?

Look, thank the Lord for simple joys. At least you guys got down to some enjoyment and cut out this crap about love and intimacy and so on. You aren’t writing to the TMC applying for a job. The truth is you had fun and hopefully he had fun too. So, instead of being a whining wimp, just go out into the world and ensnare some other young man. Hearts at your age are too sturdy to get broken and this illusion about love is silly too. You are much too young to mourn and that too about love. Pick up your clothes (in a manner of speaking) and get on with it u
