This is the time to make use of existing resources. Such as your garden or your potted plants.

Hibiscus is rich in antioxidants and also has anti-bacterial properties.

If you have hibiscus growing in your house, you can make a delicious tea with its flowers. Use dried petals of the flower for a claret-coloured, slightly tart lovely tea that is said to be good to lower blood pressure and also for weight loss.

The leaves are excellent too. Make a paste of the leaves and mix it with coconut oil. Apply as mask. You will see the difference.

You can also use the leaves to scrub your face and body. They are good for removal of dead skin, blackheads and acne.

Hibiscus flowers are also said to be mood enhancers.

And they are sensuous, full-bodied and beautiful. No wonder Frida Kahlo loved them so much.
