Easy breezy separates, light lehngas, pastels and the traditional reds — Panghat’s summer wedding collection is a melange of it all. The Wood Street store showcased it at a shoot for The Telegraph at Raajkutir Swabhumi. Looks for the bride, groom and their friends for that fun cocktail party or Bollywood night for the bachelorette, Haldi, Sangeet and the wedding day... here’s the album...

Dress up fancy, chic and trendy for the Sangeet. A pastel colour palette with bright embellishments created a fairy-tale lookbook. (L-R) Roop dressed in a powder grey sherwani with traditional floral motifs in thread and zardozi work. Shrimoyee looked pretty in a one-piece floor-length gown with peplum design at the front and bell sleeves. Diti looked elegant in a heavily embellished and hand- embroidered raw silk mint green lehnga. Hiya was soothing in an aqua net lehnga with hand embroidery and zardozi work. Shadman swayed in his pink sherwani designed with dual-tone metallic booti work. Meghna slipped into a pretty pink lehnga designed with tone-on-tone self embroidery with threads and sequins. Aditi was in a lavender lehnga designed with multicoloured sequins and cutdana work. “For this set of outfits we chose the lighter colours as these are day occasions,” said Anand.

Diti was a picture of old-world romance, all set to get into the bridal palanquin, in a traditional wedding look. Intricate zardozi and resham work with a broad border on the lehnga and meshwork of knot embroidery on the blouse, paired with a net dupatta, completed her look. “Red is the colour we have chosen for the bridal outfits. We, however, have experimented with red. This lehnga has a blend of blood red and maroon, adding a dash of contemporary touch to the traditional look,” said Anand.

A fun look with a hint of bling in rich as well as pastels comprised the cocktail party and the Bollywood night collection. (L-R) Shrimoyee channelled a funky-cool look in a blue crop top and a pair of balloon pants. The sequins, mirror work, pearls and design detail on the shoulders add to the look. Diti looked retro cool in the Indo-western silk maroon gown embellished with tone-on-tone zardozi work, dabka, cutdana and knot stitches. Meghna showcased a pastel pink net gown designed with Swarovski stones, showcasing the contemporary-cool. Hiya’s deep navy blue gown made of net and embellished with sequins looked regal-pretty. “As the occasions are evening-specific we have chosen a deeper colour palette. The gowns are all trail gowns. The blue outfit is perfect for a girl who is not a part of the bride’s squad but is an invitee. The maroon outfit can be worn by the bride or if a bride prefers pastel shades instead of the darker palette, she can opt for the pastel one. The deep navy blue gown can be chosen by a member of the bride squad,” said Anand.
