Apt for a night pool party, it is paired with golden metal jewellery to complement the colours.

The scorching summer season calls for some fun time in and around the water. From planning sexy pool parties with your girl gang to going on fun beach vacays in style — the season sounds ideal. t2 went on a recent vacay to the Polo Orchid Resort in Cherrapunji and styled a trendy swimwear lookbook in eclectic styles at this scenic location. Model Diti Saha, our muse for the shoot, channelled the cool, vibrant and super-sexy looks at the property’s infinity pool with a view of the Seven Sisters waterfall and East Khasi Hills and at the luxurious Presidential villa. Here’s The Telegraph’s swimwear lookbook for the season:

I have literally lost count of the various occasions I have worked with t2 and its super talented team. With every shoot, t2 just takes its vision a notch higher with no set boundaries and executes it with brilliance, which makes it so special and full of excitement for me. With this particular schedule they took me all the way up the hills, making it my very first outdoor experience with t2 in all these years of my association, and combining it with the most valued thing to me, travelling! It was exceptional as I got to work while exploring Cherrapunji. I got lucky with the best team who displayed great faith in me by giving me the creative freedom to put forward my styling inputs for this shoot as well. This will be memorable for me as I could nurture two of my passions  — work and travel — at the same time — Diti Saha

6/7 Since the summers are really harsh this time, any swimwear look should be simple with bare minimum make-up. I have kept the entire look on a nude palette with a shimmery feel. All the looks are done with light and waterproof make-up and some looks are styled with accessories that are waterproof, too. We have added a lot of vibrant colours to the looks and the hair has been styled with simple styles. A lot of nice shades have been used to enhance the oomph — Abhijit Paul, make-up pro

7/7 Whether you are fully diving into the ocean water or hanging out on the boardwalk, it is time to rock the latest and greatest that swimwear has to offer for 2022. A classic one-piece or bikini never goes out of style, but this summer brings forth a fresh batch of fun swimwear trends to try. From comfort-first styles to sexy high-cut suits and beyond in solid shades to abstract prints — Sumit Sinha, stylist
