A pink tube well, whitewashed walls and bougainvillea flowers — Toile, the eco-friendly fashion house on Lake Avenue, looks straight out of a postcard. Owned by Farheen Bushra Rahman and Priti Jain, this is the second store of the brand after Mumbai. Done in pastel hues, the 1,100sq ft boutique stocks organic Indian fashion labels like Ka Sha, Doodlage, Kaveri, Naushad Ali, Mati and Ek Katha.The colour palette is very earthy and nude, with a hint of pop thrown in in the accessories section by brands like Akanke and Nakhrewali.
“Our agenda is to provide a platform for designers who deal with eco-friendly clothes and thus support sustainability,” said Farheen and Priti.
The quirky brooches, earrings, keychains and neckpieces will brighten up a simple dress.
