MOOD & MUSIC: Festive beats and graceful moves set the mood for the evening at the Shakespeare Sarani club, with dancer Madhu performing to Bolly tracks like 1234 Get on the dance floor and Jadoo ki jhappi. A fashion show upped the hotness quotient, followed by a performance by Insignia, a city-based troupe. DJ Sheikh kept the momentum going with a mix of recent and retro numbers.

SHE WAS WEARING: Figure-hugging dresses, both short and full-length, in black or shimmer, paired with stilettos and strappy heels.

HE WAS WEARING: Jackets and blazers, with jeans or formal trousers.

club speak: “The night was a success with more than 500 people. We hosted a fashion show after four years and for the first time, the dance floor was packed till 1.30am, thanks to DJ Sheikh,” said Abhijit Ghosh (left), the club’s honorary secretary, seen here with club president Debabrata Roy.

“It was a fantastic evening, especially because I was with my friends and family. I chose this dress as it’s a nice colour and is ideal for NYE!” said Sairity Banerjee, an actress.
Kanika Jhajharia, an entrepreneur, looked stylish in a blingy outfit, accessorised with golden danglers. “I think rose gold is a very trendy shade,” she said. Don’t miss the florals on her dress and the tattoo on her leg!
Bishal Saha looked dapper in a Louis Philippe blazer, black shirt and navy blue tie. “I wanted to keep the look casual yet party-ready,” said the owner of the restaurant chain Kasturi.
