MIDNIGHT MOMENT

Everyone was on the dance floor with their loved ones, cameras ready and as the clock struck midnight, the skies lit up with fireworks and confetti burst all around. While couples locked lips, friends and families hugged and clicked selfies and wished all Happy New Year. Shayne Hyrapiet joined singer Sukanya Ghosh on Tu mera hero before counting down to midnight, continuing into 2018 with Final Countdown and Love you zindagi.

MOOD & MUSIC

It was a night of thrills and frills at CC&FC as family and friends got together to end the year on a high. Kicking off the show was Sukanya Ghosh (right) from Mumbai, who crooned hits such as Love Me Like You Do, Sway, Shape of You, Laila and Kala chashma. “The crowd was superb and electrifying. They helped me make the night unforgettable,” she said. City-based Shayne Hyrapiet (below right) soon took over and helped set the dance floor on fire with Bollywood numbers such as Suit suit and Tumhi ho bandhu.

Anuradha was clearly the star of the night with swag and a look reminiscent of Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction. The first to hit the dance floor, she captivated everyone with her moves.

SHE WAS WEARING

Anita Dutta’s hotness quotient bid goodbye to the December chill. The CC&FC regular sizzled in a metallic gown and heels. “I come here every year with my friends. It’s simply the best place to be in the city,” she said.

SISTER ACT

(L-R) Sunayna and Sanjana Mitra made for a stylish picture. While Sanjana stayed warm in a black turtleneck and button-up corduroy mini skirt, with boots from H&M, younger sister Sunayna went with a shocking pink Vero Moda dress and black jacket. “I think pink suits my current mood well,” Sunayna said.

COOL IN TWOS

Love was in the air as couples danced arm in arm, turned up in coordinated outfits and stopped to capture their best moments on camera.

Newlyweds Bijit and Aradhita Ghosh decided to celebrate a month of togetherness by twinning in blue. Aradhita looked pretty in a blue AND jumpsuit that she paired with blue, smokey eyes. Bijit had on a tailored dinner suit.

Yelizaveta Osipova and Ranjit Mookerjee came all the way from New York to ring in the New Year, the Calcutta way. Looking chic in a black Versace bodycon, Yelizaveta had a great time swaying to Shayne’s music. “I absolutely love it here,” she said.
