Calcutta: A bigger product portfolio coupled with a larger distribution network will help Havells India to propel its revenue from the Standard brand to Rs 1,000 crore over the next three to four years.
"The Standard was a Rs 200-crore brand in 2014 and we have doubled our turnover under the brand to Rs 400 crore by March 2017. Now, we are looking to take it to Rs 1,000 crore in the next 3-4 years," associate director Y.K. Gupta told reporters here.
He said the group acquired the brand in 2000 but it started expanding it from 2014 and the brand has been doing well.
Havells plans to introduce new designs and models under the Standard brand to meet the revenue target, said Abhra Rajib Banerjee, vice-president of Havells India.
The company plans to launch 15 models of fans under the Standard brand in addition to the newly range of water heaters.
The company also aims at expanding its dealership network to 3,000 in the next one year from the current network of 2,500 and it is trying to be present 80 per cent of tier I to V cities in the next 3-4 years.
