Voda 4G plans for Calcutta

Mumbai, Aug. 2: Vodafone is looking to extend its 4G network throughout Calcutta by the end of the current financial year. At present, around 90 per cent of the metro is currently covered under 4G by the telecom service provider. It has invested Rs 1,300 crore last year in Calcutta and rest of Bengal to strenthen and expand network.

Sebi order

Mumbai, Aug. 2: Sebi today impounded averted losses totalling Rs 125 crore through alleged insider trading in MCX and its erstwhile promoter FTIL by 13 persons, including relatives of Jignesh Shah and former top executives, with 'prior information' about the NSEL case.

MobiKwik

New Delhi, Aug. 2: Bajaj Finance today said it will pick up nearly 11 per cent stake in mobile wallet company MobiKwik for about Rs 225 crore. In a BSE filing, Bajaj Finance said it has entered into a subscription agreement with One MobiKwik Systems.

CAG on MRPL

New Delhi, Aug. 2: The CAG has pulled up Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals for capricious planning to expand its refining capacity that led to a time over-run of more than two years and cost over-run of Rs 2,500 crore.

Telecom policy

New Delhi, Aug. 2: The communications ministry will this week set up working groups to give inputs on the new telecom policy, a senior official said today.
