Patna: Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Sunday urged chief minister Nitish Kumar to give Japan data about Bihar's scams and criminal activities during his tour.

Nitish left for Japan on Sunday with an 11-member team after the Union ministry of external affairs cleared the four-day trip during which Nitish will visit Tokyo and Osaka.

"Nitish Kumar is going to Japan to discuss the achievements and importance of the famous RCP tax of Bihar. Till RCP tax exists in Bihar, there is no possibility to bring any investment. Nitish ji should first abolish the RCP tax," said Tejashwi.

Tejashwi has been accusing Rajya Sabha member and Nitish's confidante RCP Singh of extorting money from bureaucrats. "During the Japan tour, Nitish must present the data of 40 scams, corruption, loot, rape and atrocities on Dalits in Bihar. I am saying it because the website of the Bihar government giving these data has not been updated and Japan may feel bad if they come to know later," added Tejashwi.

Even RJD national vice-president Raghuvansh Prasad Singh took a dig at Nitish's Japan tour, claiming that he was going there for sair-sapata (rambling).

The JDU hit back at Tejashwi.

"The tainted Tejashwi should tell that on whose instruction 5,243 kidnappings for ransom took place between 1991 and 2005 and how much goonda service tax was collected," said JDU spokesperson and MLC Neeraj Kumar. "Before raising questions over Nitishji's Japan tour, you should know that Japan International Cooperation Agency is a Japan-based company working for the road sector in Bihar. It's disappointing that you were road construction minister for 20 months but still do not know about Jica."
