A group of students from a school in Sasaram has resolved to develop Marhan in Rohtas district as a model village.
On Sunday, the students, led by Mani Raj Singh and Vineet Prakash of Class XI, visited Marhan, around 175km west of Patna, to launch a project for the development of the village, mostly inhabited by the Scheduled Caste people.
The team placed six dustbins in the village and urged the residents to use them. The absence of toilets and scarcity of drinking water concerned the team.
The team would hold special classes for students on holidays and urge the parents to send their wards to school.
