Chhapra, June 21: The Jai Prakash University has sought the district magistrate’s (DM’s) opinion on if it could first seek the opinion of the legal panel of its examination board and then lodge an FIR against the principal of Ganga Singh College, K.P. Srivastav, and his wife Surbhi Priya.

The DM had asked the varsity to lodge an FIR against Srivastav because he was allegedly the centre superintendent while his wife took her final year postgraduate exam. The varsity registrar, Vijay Pratap Kumar, said the DM wrote to the controller of examination to probe into the case and report in two days. A panel found the allegations to be true.
