The East Central Railway on Thursday announced the cancellation of six express trains and two special trains because of fog in the coming few weeks.

The operation of the Hatia-Anand Vihar Express (12873) will be cancelled from December 31 to February 17, 2013. The Anand Vihar-Hatia Express (12874) will be cancelled from January 1 to February 18. The 13040 Delhi-Howrah Express (from December 30 to February 19) will also be cancelled.

The special trains that will be cancelled till further notice are the Patna-Anand Vihar super fast special train (02393) and the Gaya-Anand Vihar special train (02397).
