Patna: Three persons were killed near Chhatragach village in Kishanganj district on Saturday when the motorbike they were on caught fire after hitting another vehicle.
At least seven persons were killed and 12 seriously injured across the state. The Kishanganj victims were on their way to fish when they died.
Pothia block development officer Sandeep Kumar Pandey said one of the victims succumbed to burn injuries on way to the hospital.
Two persons died in Patna and another was injured when their car overturned and fell into a ditch on National Highway 30 near Ramnagar in the Barh sub-division. Sources said the driver had lost control of the vehicle and hit the divider on the road. "The bodies have been sent to the Barh hospital for post-mortem. Efforts are on to ascertain the identity of the deceased," said a Salempur police officer.
Two more people died in Gaya when a bus knocked down a motorcyclist. One of the bus passengers was also injured. At least 10 people on a tourist bus were injured in another collision in Aurangabad.
