A 10-member business delegation of Bihar Industries Association (BIA) would take part in a five-day international engineering fair at Hannover in Germany to explore business opportunities with a special emphasis on technology transfer.

“Bihar is celebrating its centenary year and restoration of efficient governance has enabled the state to showcase its strength at the national and the international levels. A 10-member team, all entrepreneurs, would visit Hannover to participate in an international fair that begins on April 23,” BIA president KPS Keshri said on Wednesday.

On the objectives behind sending the team to take part in such a big international event, Keshri said: “The delegates would try to explore business opportunities, joint ventures, foreign collaborations and technology transfer with small and medium enterprises of Germany. The team would also promote the brand image of Bihar.”

“The basic idea is to get information about the technology, which could be suitable for industries in Bihar,” Keshri said, adding that if the team finds any such technology that could help the state’s industrial development, it would try to do the needful.

“The team would also try to build awareness about the changed business climate in the state and attract foreign partners for investments in Bihar,” said the BIA president, adding that the delegation, during the tour, would meet several prospective entrepreneurs that might lead to hi-tech collaboration.

Christened “Hannover Messe 2012” (messe meaning exhibition), is a premier technology event featuring eight leading international trade shows in Hannover in the field of energy, industrial automation, industrial supply, industrial environment technology and research technology.
