The education department has decided to transfer the recently appointed 34,540 teachers to their home districts.

Education minister P.K. Shahi said in the Assembly the government would complete the transfer process in 23 districts by March 31 this year.

“In the rest of the 15 districts, the number of teachers exceeded the number of vacancies. They would be gradually shifted,” he said, while responding to a call attention raised by Leader of the Opposition Abdul Bari Siddiqui, citing the teachers’ hardships.
