Patna, Feb. 9: Police in the state capital are set to get barricade tapes, popularly called “Do Not Enter” tapes, to cordon off crime scenes.

“Securing a crime scene is an important aspect of investigation. Such tapes are used in many police departments. The tapes will have instructions. The police will get the tapes in a few days from a city-based company,” Patna senior superintendent of police (SSP) Alok Kumar said today.

In addition, the police are planning to come up with calendars for this year, which will have instructions on traffic rules and road safety.

“It is in the planning stage. Students of the College of Arts and Crafts will be involved in the designing of the proposed calendar. The front page of the calendar will have information about various traffic signs and do’s and dont’s about traffic norms. It will be a simple date calendar with all these information,” Kumar said.

“Pictures of important roundabouts in the capital will also be used on the calendar. Once made, the calendars will be distributed mainly among school students. They can learn a lot of things related to road and traffic rules from the calendar,” the officer added.
