BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday accused Lalu Prasad of not doing justice to his scions.

Sushil claimed that even though Lalu's elder daughter Misa Bharti was more competent than his sons, yet Lalu was trying to project his younger son Tejashwi as his political heir. However, the BJP leader's statement has not gone well with Lalu's family with both Lalu and his son Tejashwi opposing it.

The BJP leader, on the sidelines of his weekly janata durbar, said: "Misa is more competent than her brothers Tejashwi and Tej Pratap. She is an MBBS doctor and understands fact in a much better way than her brothers, but Lalu is promoting Tejashwi by ignoring Misa and Tej Pratap."

Sushil, however, taking a jibe on Misa's MBBS degree said the Opposition at that time was weak and even the media was not much powerful as compared to today. "If the situation was similar to that of now, we would have easily exposed toppers scam at that time itself," he said.

Misa, the firstborn of Lalu and Rabri Devi who was recently nominated for the Rajya Sabha berth, had hit the headlines in the late-'90s by topping her MBBS degree exam, with a distinction in gynaecology, from Patna Medical College.

Sushil said: "Laluji is not only ignoring Misa but also his elder son Tej Pratap. In several public functions, we have noticed that Tejashwi getting much importance than Tej Pratap."

Sharing details of a function where Lalu, his two sons, ministers from the Nitish Kumar cabinet and Sushil were invited at a dinner, he said: "In one such function, while dinner table of Tejashwi was arranged with Lalu, ministers and other dignitaries, Tej Pratap was given the seat at one of the corner."

Reacting, Lalu said: "Sushil has lost his balance and by giving such statements he wants to be in news. Had there been differences, I would not have sent Misa to the Rajya Sabha."

Even, Tejashwi said: "Sushil should not forget that her sister had created a scene few years back at his house in Rajendra Nagar over property dispute. In our family, there are no differences and we all brothers and sisters love and respect our parents."
