Chhapra, Feb. 3: Saran district magistrate Kuldeep Narayan has shot off a letter to chief secretary Anoop Mukherji and other top officials requesting immediate transfer of civil surgeon Naresh Kumar in the interest of the health services of the district.

Narayan said: “On many occasions the civil surgeon tried to play the caste card and resorted to threats of filing case against persons and officials to serve his own end.”

He said: “The surgeon’s continuance in office is adversely affecting the interests of the health services in the district.”
